Personal accident insurance
Whether training, competing or at leisure, no one likes to think about sustaining an injury or, worst of all, having an accident. In a sport such as polo, particularly where horses are involved, the likelihood of having an accident (small or large) is sadly more than likely.
Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, therefore offers an insurance policy to cater for the needs of NZ Polo members if they have an 'unfortunate incident'. The premiums are very competitive, the policy wording is broad and it is simple and quick to arrange. Best of all, a portion of any premiums paid is given back to Polo NZ for personal development and training.
Policy features include
- A lump sum payment if you break any bones - up to $15,000
- A home assistance benefit if you are confined to your bed for more than 48 hours - up to $300 per week
- A dislocation (eg knee, shoulder) benefit - up to $3,000
- A serious accident benefit - up to $75,000
- An emergency transport benefit - $250
- Competitive premiums - from only $9.95 per month for you and / or your partner and dependents

- Cover for 24 hours a day anywhere in the world
- Payments made are additional to any received by ACC
- A 25% discount on your insurance if you don't make any claims in the first year

Travel insurance
When travelling as a polo competitor, you need a comprehensive and competitive travel insurance policy that includes cover for both injury whilst competing.
