Wanstead Polo Club Barrett/Dearden Memorial Tournament

Wanstead Polo provided two fantastic days of polo and entertainment for 80 players from all over NZ last weekend as the annual Barrett/Dearden Memorial Tournament was played.
Heavy rain on Saturday night stopped play but started a great party and barbecue provided by the club. Just as well the sun didn't come out on Sunday!
The high goal teams of Wanstead Flight Center B Reisima, L Hunter, D Miller, A Vowles were to play Auckland's Morning Star, E White, A Morgenstern, T Hunt, S Keyte, in the finals.
The Murphy cup final was between the Wanstead Coddies team of H Fitzpatrick, L Taylor, J Coddington, and O Jones playing Hawkes Bay D McKenzie, J Thompson, W Hunt, and K Coop.
The Duke of Edinburgh cup final was between Wanstead Elders J Mobley, B Liddle, S McDonald, M Morrison and Farmlands N Coddington, D Coddington, J Campbell, S Atkinson.
