Unfortunately rain arrived in the weekend and this resulted in hard decisions having to be made and consequently the Turihaua Poverty Bay Open final was the only match played on finals day – it was a very exciting final and both teams played extremely well in the conditions.
(At least we have proved that it's not just us that has rain at our tournament, with Hawkes Bay having to cancel both the Wine Country Cup and the Dewar Cup this season – very unfortunate for them).
