The second semifinal was played on Sunday - Ellerstina and Indios Chapaleufe II faced each other ending the match 16-11 in favour of the former.
It was an unstable match, with excellent polo at some periods and entangled and unimpressive play at others. It was unfavourable for Ellerstina at first, but gradually thanks to its mental quickness and better horse level the match was on their side. Yet they couldn't use their positive strategy all the time because their opponents, which have great experience in Polo Opens, didn't allow them knowing which tactic to implement at each moment.
Although there were scarce excellent moves from both teams, the match wasn't glamorous as expected.
Eduardo Heguy, who was in a bad day, lost a few penalty shots and his team couldn't find the necessary rhythm to face their young, efficient opponents.
Matias Mac Donough, who fell and bumped his head in chukker 6, was replaced by Santiago Chavanne (8 goals).
Progression Ellerstina: 1-2, 4-5, 8-5, 10-5, 11-7, 12-8, 15-9 y 16-11.
