FIP World Cup Update
19 February, 2007
The Schedule of Events and draw for the World Cup tournament is now set.
New Zealand plays India in the first game 2.30pm Monday 26 February and the last game is New Zealand v Australia on Sunday 4 March. In between NZ play South Africa and Pakistan. These all promise to be very tough matches and OUR team needs all the support we can give them, so please come and barrack as loud as you can!
We are planning a designated New Zealand polo 'family' area on the road end of the Fisher Field for Saturday and Sunday 3 and 4 March We will be providing a marquee and some tables and chairs under the trees; bring your sun brolly and picnic and join in this area. Look for the signs. This is the spot to meet just about everyone you know in the polo world.
Alongside there will be an international polo 'family' tent for those supporters travelling from overseas. We anticipate these two areas may well have the best "barrackers."
Please be aware we will have gate keepers on both Saturday and Sunday; the week day games are free, but for the weekend a players or NZ Polo pass will be needed to gain free entry - for others costs will be $15 per person or maximum of $30 per car.
There will be a smart cocktail party on Fisher Field, Friday 2 March, tickets $50. We will see you there.
