NZ Colts win in England
July 2006
pictures and story by Hannah Butcher
Finally a win! The colts did us all proud, playing at undoubtedly the
most beautiful and supreme house and estate in England we have ever seen, kindly invited by Mr and Mrs Davies, they came home to lead by 1 and 1/2 goals.
Charlie Wood played well up front while, yes you have guessed it the Hunt
boys forever consistent in their attacking plays worked well off each other,
while Guy Higginson as strong as an Ox kept the back door shut.
This was the last game for the boys in preparation for the test match which
will be played this Friday at Cowdray 4.30pm, with the team lining up as
- Matt Bayley
- Tom Hunt
- Sam Hunt
- Guy Higginson
Horses have kindly been lent by JP Clarkin for the Hunt boys which surely
puts NZ back in the running to reclaim the trophy that has never left New
Zealand's grasp ... watch this space!
